I think Apple is playing the long game right now, I think they’re taking things slow but they’re making things right as in they’re trying to perfect the technology NOW so they don’t have to later. It’s smart, they’re starting to make their own modem chips that’s crazy if they can pull this off. Make their own modems, displays etc they’re gonna be in a perfect position to focus on software again and by that time everyone’s gonna be lagging behind again.

I don't think there's just one or two reasons why Apple is experiencing slower sales, it's more like a whole list of things that are making people hang on to their old gear. In no particular order: people are worried about a recession, there's no 'killer' feature on the new phones, the new phones have multiple design issues -- lacking the distinction of the iPhone 5 form factor (they look like Samsung phones), the notch, the bump on the back for the camera, the weight of the stainless steel bezel -- wireless carriers aren't offering subsidies like they used to, Apple focuses too much on the wealthy 1%'s and fails to aim for the middle of the market (i.e., lack of iPhone SE replacement), Apple is too consumed with design and frivolous software features rather than looking for everyday solutions computer devices can solve. That's just off the top of my head.

I think there are making phones to fast 💨 before you can even enjoy your current 📱 and like you said it’s not enough innovation to up be upgrading every year I have iPhones xs max and i don’t plan on upgrading for atlest 2 to 3 years I just don’t see the need to upgrade every year especially with the prices being so high and with iOS 13 coming making your current phone even better why upgrade?

Heres a question, do people even want the XR form factor over a potential SE 2 form factor with an edge to edge display? A display with better pixel density? I feel like the sales answer that question. I don't know anyone with a XR and I don't know anyone who was hyped about it. It seems like more people are pining for that old 5/5S form factor albeit with a bigger display. Even I would trade in my XS for that phone if it were to come out just for the sheer usability of that size, or a size just slightly bigger than the 5S, and thats coming from someone with pretty big hands. Even with hands my size, some actions on the regular sized XS require uncomfortable reaching or even two hands.

What's with the iPhones with full screen? Stop dreaming, they aren't happening. You'll have to see a different hardware oriented company do it first, and then maybe after a year you'll see it on the iPhones. But 100%, Apple is not a hardware innovator, so it's funny to see iPhones with bezel-less full screens when even hardware companies are not capable of doing that yet.
